Open Invitation

How can we move through our world more lightly, in a way that is open
to other living and non-living elements
that share this space/time with us?

And one of the very significant non-living elements that forms the context for our research is an expanse of rock. Pranay Lal, in his book INDICA a Deep Natural History of the Indian Subcontinent, says “Another very old rock is gneiss (pronounced ‘nice’). Gneiss is formed when older rocks re-melt and then re-form under high pressure which separates the minerals into layers or bands. Closepet granite (which is actually gneiss) was formed between 3 and 2.5 billion years ago and can be found close to Bengaluru”. Over the next year we hope to spend as much time with these rocks as possible!
