Her work is heavily inspired by Allan Savory, whose regenerative grazing and holistic land management principles emphasize restoring soil health, improving water cycles, and using animals as allies in healing degraded landscapes. Deepti adapted these ideas to the Indian context, proving they work even in extreme desert conditions. A key part of her success is the indigenous Tharparkar cow—a resilient desert breed whose dung, urine, and presence are central to her regenerative approach.
